    Jesters Performing Arts Group

As one of the region’s largest and longest-running theatrical troupes, the Jesters performing group has engaged individuals with disabilities in the creative arts for the past 35 years. Sponsored by the University of Saint Francis since its founding in 1978, Jesters is composed of individuals with mild to severe developmental or physical disabilities ranging in age from six to adult.

Committing $250,000 at $50,000 per year over a five year period, AWS Foundation is proud to support this program that provides 20 weeks of customized, structured movement and dance, music (instrumental and voice), theatre and visual arts activities that offer an important creative and social venue for individuals with intellectual disabilities. Each spring, the program culminates in an original production performed by Jesters participants. In addition, the troupe performs annually at the disAbilities Expo.
